| ClubTelco is an offshoot of Dodo and has taken a different approach to mobile and broadband sales. It works off a one to one relationship where you have an account manager to help you manage your account.
Telco boasts 60,000 customers and 120 or so staff, so obviously it has been consolidating small Telco’s or something to get to this state. My understanding is that the Eftel brand is also part of this model now (or will be).Enough about the company and how it has grown so quickly. The plans are all no contract plans (ie stay for as long as you like, just pay the bill and leave). If you wish to buy you need to call them and purchase over the phone there are no online sales. I tried the service a few weeks ago and the guys were very helpful. The program consists of both the mobile or broadband plan plus membership to ClubTelco. A one off fee of $50 covers the membership part. With that payment you receive a membership card plus all sorts of discounts offered to you by www.infiniterewards.com.au. I can only assume the rewards get bigger over time as these reward programs are offered by most utility companies these days.In terms of the plans, all I can say is that they are very, very generous. There is also no contract so you can stay for as long as you like. Having paid $50 to join the club you might want to stick around for a few months. The mobile plans consist of 3 plans starting with Club $20, which offers $200 in calls, unlimited ClubTelco to ClubTelco (all plans have this) calls plus 500MB of data. The next plan is Club $30 with $500 in calls and 1GB data, then you have the Club Mega Cap with Unlimited Calls and Text and a huge 3GB of data. The monthly cost of the Mega Cap is $60. A key difference between it and some others out there is that it includes $100 of international calls. This cap was just launched this week (I suspect in response to Amaysim’s Unlimited plan). With the recent introduction of the MegaCap, ClubTeclo now have an offer with 3GB which ensure they stay competitive. The plans in all are good, the value in terms of membership to the Club is something they need to prove. |
